Fresh produce such as fruits and vegetables are high in vitamins and minerals, making them an essential part of the world’s diet. However, foodborne illness related to the consumption of fresh produce is widely reported. Dr. Jadeja's research has shown a novel sanitizer, sodium acid sulfate, could effectively eliminate foodborne pathogens from produce.
